Sunday, 21 June 2015 13:56Porthos is beginning to get frantic. They're running out of places to look for Aramis, which means that soon Porthos might have to actually admit that he's gone, but he can't. He refuses to give up hope until he's searched every square inch. He's killed more vampires in the last few days than their whole hunts, has burst into every business or place of repute, and has even gone through old abandoned apartments on the off-chance someone's kidnapped Aramis.
Jim had stepped in and with him, an idea that he hadn't considered. The houses in the countryside where they've been looking have sat outside of Porthos' mind and attention, but now that he thinks about it, it seems the only place that's left.
That's how he and Athos have found themselves at the second of four locations he and Aramis had scouted in the past. For the first time since Sunday morning, Porthos actually thinks he might have a flicker of hope. "Athos, do you hear that?" he murmurs, pressing a finger to his lips.
It sounds, faintly, like chains.
Porthos presses his shoulder to the front door and busts it down, shouting Aramis' name as he goes charging through the upstairs, the main floor, and it's as he's rushing downstairs that it takes him off-guard, stumbling the last few steps when he sees Aramis on the ground. "Athos, down here!" he shouts, just as panicked as ever because Aramis looks awful.
